Cleveland is an Eastern suburb of Brisbane, Queensland. The Flyer water taxi departs from Toondah Harbour, Corner of Middle Street and Emmett Drive, Cleveland.

Going from Stradbroke - departing Dunwich

Dunwich is a township on the western side of North Stradbroke Island. The Flyer water taxi departs from One Mile Jetty, Yabby Street, Dunwich.

Getting to Toondah Harbour, Cleveland

By car, Cleveland is a 45 minute drive from the Brisbane airport, 1 hour drive from the Gold Coast and 45 minute drive from the Brisbane CBD. Free car parking is available in the Toondah Harbour surrounds.

 

Cleveland is on the train line. Catch the train from Brisbane airport, Gold Coast, Brisbane CBD or elsewhere. Use the Translink Journey Planner to plan getting to Cleveland by train or bus.

 

The free Stradbroke Flyer courtesy bus picks up water taxi passengers from the Cleveland Train Station 10 minutes prior to each water taxi departure. As you exit the train station follow the footpath to your right around to the bus stop. The free Stradbroke Flyer courtesy bus also picks up passengers from Middle Street, Cleveland bus stop, outside the Commonwealth Bank, 15 minutes prior to each water taxi departure.

On the Stradbroke Flyer water taxi

The passenger water taxi journey takes 25 minutes one way between Toondah Harbour, Cleveland and One Mile Jetty, Dunwich, North Stradbroke Island.

 

The Stradbroke Flyer operate the ‘Calypso’ deluxe water taxi or the smaller ‘Alley Kat’ or ‘Top Kat’ water taxis depending on requirments.

 

On board the Stradbroke Flyer ‘Calypso’ water taxi features:
. en route purchases: coffee / tea, cold drinks, snacks, licensed bar
. 4 rest rooms
. 3 levels of seating including: front lounge, viewing deck, inside tables

Getting around on North Stradbroke Island

On North Stradbroke Island a bus will meet each water taxi arrival at One Mile Jetty, Dunwich. **Bring cash for the island bus** as it is CASH ONLY. The bus route includes Point Lookout and Amity Point. Bus info available at stradbrokeislandbuses.com.au or an island taxi service is available by calling 0408 193 685.

 

Alternatively you are able to bring your bicycle on the Stradbroke Flyer. Rides to Point Lookout, Amity Point or the Causeway, Main Beach are approximately 20 kilometres. Brown Lake, North Stradbroke Island Golf Club and Myora Springs are a shorter ride.

 

Within 20 metres of the One Mile Jetty, Dunwich are:
